AI Video for Solar Companies

AI video for solar companies can help with a few clear tasks. An approved Twin can present a company intro, proposal handoff, appointment reminder, or checked process guide. You write the script and approve the clip.

The Twin does not check a license, roof, load, design, item, power estimate, rate, permit, loan, contract, tax rule, schedule, or warranty. It cannot prove savings or a green claim. Keep those facts in the project file and link each one to the video release record.

What a Kyndrify Twin does

A Kyndrify Twin is based on an approved face and voice. Setup uses a headshot, a short voice clip, and recorded consent. You supply the script. Each Render gives you a download and a hosted link. Longer scripts can be made in parts and joined. The Kyndrify sales workflow explains this process.

Kyndrify uses shared subscription credits plus pay-as-you-go credit packs, not pay-per-Render billing. Subscription credits reset monthly and do not roll over, while packs last 3 months. Signed Content Credentials and invisible provenance are still rolling out and are not guaranteed on every file. Its current pages do not document solar templates, project or design links, utility or finance links, permit checks, tax or incentive checks, savings tools, analytics, Render speed, or lead and sales results. Kyndrify does document a Free tier with preset avatars and voices, 1080p talking-head video on Plus, and ten speech and dubbing languages. Commercial-use rights remain unresolved across current pages, so confirm them before you rely on a feature or right. Check the official Kyndrify pricing page and Terms before you rely on a feature or right.

The Twin presents words. It does not inspect the home, design the system, read a contract, or update an old clip when a project fact changes.

Use one workflow for each proposal

A solar video can mislead when it mixes homes, plans, rates, or program rules. Use one release path for one project and one proposal version.

  1. Choose one project and viewer. Name the proposal, version, property, audience, and safe next step.
  2. Freeze site and design facts. Save the license check, site and roof notes, load data, design, equipment list, power model, and all key assumptions.
  3. Freeze utility and permit facts. Save the utility, rate, credit method, grid request, permit state, and approval owner.
  4. Freeze money and contract facts. Save the price, payment path, finance terms, incentive and tax sources, contract, work dates, and warranty.
  5. Mark estimates. Do not present a model as a promise. State the input, source date, range, limit, and owner for each power, bill, savings, or payback estimate. The Department of Energy homeowner guide notes that site, use, system size, rates, utility terms, finance, and incentives can all affect fit and savings.
  6. Check finance wording. Cash, loans, leases, and power-purchase deals can differ in who owns the system, who pays, who gets a benefit, and who bears a risk. Use the actual proposal and contract. See the Department of Energy solar finance guide.
  7. Check every claim. Do not imply a government or utility tie that does not exist. Do not call a plan free or no cost without exact proof. Do not promise a tax benefit, permit, grid approval, power level, or savings. The FTC solar scam guidance warns about false claims on these points.
  8. Check green claims. A broad claim can hide key limits. State the boundary, assumptions, comparison, time span, and proof. Review the FTC Green Guides summary.
  9. Check all media. Match each roof photo, design view, bill, meter, chart, system, crew, and job photo to the real project. Do not use a generated home or install as proof.
  10. Set disclosure and approve. Follow the AI rules for the channel. YouTube requires a label for covered realistic synthetic media under its altered-content policy. Get the needed design, finance, sales, compliance, and customer sign-off.
  11. Render and watch. Compare the full clip with the frozen proposal. Check each word, number, screen, chart, link, and label.
  12. Send with an expiry. Record the version and review date. Name the person who can replace or remove the clip when any source changes.

Do not use a video made for one home, utility area, or finance plan for another. A similar project is not the same project.

Keep a release record

Create one record for each solar video. Include:

  • Project, property ID, proposal, version, viewer, and channel
  • License, site, roof, load, design, equipment, and power sources
  • Utility, rate, credit, grid request, and permit sources
  • Price, finance, incentive, tax, contract, schedule, and warranty sources
  • Each estimate, input, assumption, range, limit, and source date
  • Each green claim, boundary, comparison, time span, and proof
  • Source and rights for every image, bill, meter, chart, and screen
  • AI and platform disclosure
  • Design, finance, sales, compliance, and customer approval
  • Expiry date, archive, replacement link, and takedown owner

Use a project ID rather than private customer data in a shared campaign system. Keep any personal or finance record in the proper secure tool.

This record does not prove that the design, claim, or deal is right. It makes each source and sign-off easy to trace.

A placeholder proposal handoff

Keep each field in brackets until the right project owner approves it.

Hi, this is [Approved Presenter Name] from [Approved Company Name]. This guide covers [Approved Proposal Version] for [Approved Project ID]. Review [Approved Design Source] for the current site, system, item, and power details. Review [Approved Utility Source] for the current rate, grid, and permit state. Review [Approved Finance and Contract Source] for price, payment, incentive, tax, work date, and warranty terms. Each estimate uses [Approved Assumption Source] checked on [Approved Check Date]. Contact [Approved Project Contact] with questions. This video is current through [Approved Expiry Date].

This sample names no real company, customer, property, utility, system, power figure, price, finance term, incentive, tax term, date, warranty, savings, or green result. Do not replace a bracket until its source and wording pass review.

What consent and credentials do not prove

Recorded consent shows that a person approved setup of the Twin. AI disclosure and Content Credentials can provide signals about AI use and origin. Invisible provenance is still rolling out and is not guaranteed on every file.

These signals do not prove a license, site fit, roof state, load, design, equipment, power estimate, utility rule, grid approval, permit, finance term, program fit, tax result, savings, green benefit, or platform compliance. The project team still owns those checks.

Plan with actual cost inputs

Kyndrify uses a shared credit balance across supported tools. Subscription credits reset monthly and do not roll over, while pay-as-you-go packs last 3 months. Other inputs may include source checks, script work, design and finance review, media rights, customer approval, captions, editing, secure delivery, and later updates.

Use the current fee and your own work records. Do not add sample leads, installs, power, savings, payback, margin, or revenue. The approved sources do not document those outcomes. Confirm commercial-use rights because the current Kyndrify pages conflict: the talking-head FAQ says commercial use is allowed on a paid plan, while the Terms state ownership without a plan-based entitlement distinction. Check the current Terms and plan details before you rely on a right.

A simple go-or-stop test

Before a Render, ask:

  1. Is this tied to one project and proposal version?
  2. Does each fact and estimate have a source, date, owner, and clear limit?
  3. Does each image or chart match the actual project?
  4. Did the right design, finance, sales, compliance, and customer reviewers approve it?
  5. Is there an expiry date and a takedown owner?

Stop when an answer is no. Fix the project file first.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI Twin video replace a site visit or contract?

No. It can present a checked script. Site work, design, grid, permit, finance, contract, and install controls remain separate.

What should a solar company disclose?

Disclose covered AI use under the rules for the channel. Also make estimates, limits, finance terms, material ties, and the source date clear where they affect the message.

How do I keep a proposal video current?

Tie it to one version and add a review date. Replace or remove it when a rate, program, design, price, contract, schedule, or other source changes.

Can the video mention a tax credit or rebate?

Only use the exact current program and customer facts that the proper owner approved. Do not imply broad fit, government backing, or a guaranteed benefit.

Does Kyndrify include solar templates or project links?

Its current public pages do not document solar templates or project, design, utility, finance, permit, tax, or savings links. Keep those checks in your own project process.

Keep the video tied to the project

Start with one proposal and one viewer. Freeze each source, mark every estimate, check each image, and get the right sign-off. After the Render, compare it with the proposal and send it with a review date. A solar video should never outlive the project facts behind it.
