What you ask your dentist for
One recording
15 to 90 seconds on their phone, once, between patients. Every video after that is made without them.
Can a dental practice make patient videos without the dentist filming?
Yes. Your dentist records one clip between patients, 15 to 90 seconds, on their phone. That builds their Digital Twin: their real face, their real voice, on file with their recorded consent. From then on the videos get made at the front desk, by your coordinator or your agency, with no dentist in the room. That one clip is the only thing you ever ask your dentist for.
Who it is for
Practice owners, treatment coordinators, and the agencies that market for dental practices.
What you need
One clear photo of the dentist, and one recording of 15 to 90 seconds taken on their phone.
What it costs
Free gives you 8,400 credits and one Digital Twin, the one you build for yourself when you sign up, with renders up to 60 seconds in a Featured voice. On the Plus plan and above you build the dentist's Twin from a photo you upload, send them a link to record, and hear them in their own voice. Plus is $49 a month billed yearly, or $59 month to month, with 28,000 credits a month, and the top Digital Twin quality bills 152 credits a second with a 120 credit floor per video.
What it does not do
It holds no patient records, it is not HIPAA eligible, and it will not make a claim about a result for you.
A Digital Twin is a real person with their recorded consent on file, not a character we invented. The tool that renders one is talking-head video: a script becomes a video in your own face and voice.
The talk you give ten times a day, and nobody ever records.
Patients say yes to treatment they understand. Your dentist explains a crown, an implant and a root canal the same clear way every day, chairside, to one person at a time. None of it ever leaves the operatory.
- A shoot day closes a chair, and a closed chair is production you do not get back.
- The coordinator has nothing to send the patient who says they want to think about it.
- The recall list keeps growing, and the only follow-up is another voicemail.
- Unused benefits reset when the plan year ends, and the reminder goes out as a text nobody opens.
- The front desk answers the same insurance question thirty times a week.
- Your associate started four months ago and no patient has met them yet.
A morning of closed chairs, or an afternoon at the desk.
Book the shoot
- Block a morning, close a chair, and move the patients who were in it.
- Get a dentist who has been working since seven ready for a camera.
- Get the files back weeks later, find six usable clips, and start booking the next shoot for the rest.
- Pay for the crew every time, whether you use three clips or one.
Record once
- The dentist gives you 15 to 90 seconds between patients, and never sits for it again.
- Your coordinator writes tomorrow's explainer this afternoon.
- The recall nudge, the benefits reminder and the new-patient hello all go out this week.
- You never buy back a chair hour, because you never closed one.
Four videos a dental practice can put to work this week.
Build these once and they keep working. The whole point is that a video lives in the Workspace and goes out with something you already send.
The crown explainer
What a crown is, why this tooth needs one, what the appointment is like, and what happens if it waits. Your coordinator attaches it to the treatment-plan email the same afternoon, so the patient hears the reason from the dentist instead of reading a line item.
The hygiene recall nudge
One short video for everyone on the recall list whose last cleaning was over a year ago. Their dentist saying “we would like to see you” lands differently than a third automated text.
The benefits reminder
A plain explanation of what dental benefits cover and when they reset. Send it in the two months before your patients' benefits run out, and answer the question the front desk is about to get four hundred times.
The new associate's hello
Thirty seconds so patients meet the new dentist before they are in the chair with them. Put it on the booking confirmation and on the team page.
If you do orthodontics, split it in two
The parent wants the timeline, the number of visits and what it costs. The teenager wants to know what it looks like at school and whether anyone can tell. Those are two different videos, and sending the right one to the right person is most of the job.
Three steps, and only one of them is theirs.
- 1
Add one photo and send one link.
On the Plus plan and above: upload one clear photo of the dentist, name the Twin after the person, and text them the private link. That is your whole setup. On Free you get one Twin, the one you build for yourself when you sign up.
- 2
They record once, between patients.
The link opens the camera on their phone. They speak for 15 to 90 seconds. That is their whole part, forever. The Twin turns on once the recording checks out against the photo, and nothing renders before that.
- 3
Your team makes the videos.
Write what the dentist would say chairside, pick their Twin, and render. Post it, text it, or attach it to the treatment-plan email. On the Plus plan and above the Twin speaks in the dentist's own voice; on Free it speaks in one of ours.
What the people who hired us to make video say.
From clients of the studio behind Kyndrify. First names and last initials, so people keep their privacy.
We've tried a few AI video tools and this is the one our team kept using. It's fast and the videos look good.

The product changes all the time, so recording new demos was getting old. Kyndrify fixed that problem for us.

What Kyndrify will not do for your practice.
It holds nothing clinical.
Kyndrify makes marketing videos. It is not HIPAA eligible, and no patient record, no chart note and no clinical image belongs in it.
It will not promise a result.
Comfort, longevity and outcome are claims, and your regulator will hold your practice to them. Keep the script on what a treatment is and what the visit involves.
Building the dentist's Twin starts on the Plus plan.
On Free you get one Digital Twin, the one you build for yourself when you sign up. Building one for somebody else, from a photo you upload, opens on the Plus plan. Read pricing: plans and credits for video, voice and images before you plan a practice around it.
The dentist's Twin speaks in their own voice from the Plus plan.
Cloning a voice is on every plan, Free included. On Free the Twin speaks in a Featured voice, which is one of ours rather than theirs. The door to their own is voice cloning: your own voice from one short recording.
Dubbing works on a video made here.
It re-voices a finished Kyndrify render in ten languages and keeps the dentist's own voice. It does not take an upload, and it starts on the Plus plan. More on dubbing and translation.
The rules are yours. Here is what to keep out of the script.
Kyndrify makes the video. Your practice owns what it says, and what it says should be education: what a treatment is, what the visit involves, what to expect afterwards.
Do not promise a result. Comfort, longevity and outcome are claims, and the dental regulator where you practice sets the advertising rules, including how you may describe a specialty. Whoever signs off on your ads should sign off on your scripts too.
Nobody but the dentist is on camera, so a treatment explainer needs no patient release from anyone. If you post patient photos alongside it, the consent and the record keeping for those are yours, and none of it belongs in Kyndrify.
Kyndrify is not HIPAA eligible, and no patient record, no chart note and no clinical image belongs in it.
Label it yourself. The face and the voice belong to your dentist, recorded with their consent, and a patient should still be told the video was made with AI. We are still extending our built-in disclosure across output types, so write the words into the caption every time you post. A patient who reads it there is fine with it. A patient who works it out later is not.
How consent, disclosure and content credentials work here is set out in responsible AI: consent, disclosure and content credentials, and what is kept of a person's face is in the biometric information privacy notice.
Checked September 2026. This is a summary, not legal advice.
What a practice asks before it starts.
- What do we send a patient who says they want to think about it?
- Make the explainer for that treatment once and keep it in the Workspace. The coordinator attaches it to the treatment-plan email, and the patient hears the reason from their own dentist instead of reading a line item. That is the whole of our part. What happens next is between you and the patient.
- Can the video say a treatment will not hurt, or that it lasts a lifetime?
- No. Keep it to what the treatment is and what the visit involves. Comfort and longevity are results, and a result is a claim your regulator will hold you to. We make the video. What it claims is your practice's to answer for, the same as the sign in your window or the ad on your door. The explainer that only says what a crown is does the work anyway.
- Do we need a patient release for any of this?
- Not for the videos Kyndrify makes. The only person on camera is the dentist, and their recorded consent is on file with their Digital Twin before anything renders. If you post patient photos or before-and-after images next to it, that consent and record keeping are yours, and none of it goes into Kyndrify.
- We have two dentists, a hygienist and a new associate. Can they each have one?
- Yes. Give every person who should be on camera their own Digital Twin, all inside one Workspace. Plus holds 3, Pro holds 10, Max holds 25 and Ultra holds 50. Free is one Twin, the one you build for yourself when you sign up, and it speaks in one of our voices rather than the dentist's own. Cloning a voice is on every plan, Free included; the dentist's own Twin, in their own voice, starts on the Plus plan.
- Our patients speak Spanish and Portuguese. Can the dentist welcome them in their own language?
- Yes, with dubbing. It re-voices a finished Kyndrify video in ten languages and keeps the dentist's own voice. It works on a video made here, not on a file you upload, and dubbing starts on the Plus plan.
- We are a three-location group and our associates move between offices. How do we keep it straight?
- One Workspace for the whole group. Build a Digital Twin for each dentist and name it after the person, not the office, because the Twin follows them to whichever chair they are in on Tuesday. Twins count per person, not per location, so a dentist who covers all three offices is still one Twin against your plan's limit. Put the office name and the number in the script, and the same dentist can have a version for each location without a second Twin.
