An Arcads alternative where the face is really yours

Arcads gives you a library of AI actors and a fast way to make more of them. Kyndrify gives you one face that belongs to a real person who agreed to it, usually you. One photo and a short consent recording become a Digital Twin, and every ad after that is your face saying your script. Below is the whole comparison, row by row, with the source and the month we read it. Four of the rows go to Arcads.

Arcads gives you a library of AI actors. We give you your own face.

This page compares the two products as a founder or a small performance team would meet them. We make the video. You still buy the media, and nothing here posts or schedules for you.

The short version

Who each one is for

Arcads sells a library of AI actors and a fast way to make more of them, so if the job is twelve different people saying one line, that is their product and not ours.

Kyndrify sells one face that belongs to a real, named person who recorded their agreement, usually you, and four of the nine rows below still go to the other side, checked September 2026.

Is Kyndrify a good Arcads alternative?

Kyndrify is a good Arcads alternative when you want the person in the ad to be a real, consented human, usually you, and Arcads is the better tool when you want many different faces fast. You build one Digital Twin from a photo and a short consent recording, then render ad scripts in that face and that voice, one at a time.

  • Who it is for

Founders and small performance teams who are comfortable being the face, plus anyone whose brand is a named person. English or one of the other ten supported languages.

  • What you need

A front-facing photo, a short consent recording of the person being represented, a script, and a photo of the product if the product is in the ad.

  • What it costs

A presenter take is 152 credits per second of finished video on any paid plan. Cutting it together and exporting costs 20 credits a second with a floor of 60 credits. Plus is $49 a month billed yearly for 28,000 credits. Free gives you 8,400 credits once, they never expire, and that is about 55 seconds of finished video.

  • What it does not do

It renders one version at a time, with no bulk door and no published developer route. It speaks ten languages. It films no hands and no clothes on a body. Purchases are final, so there are no refunds.

Want to see the output before you read nine rows? The showcase is real first-party work: talking heads, ads, product photos and freeform clips.

Nine rows. Every cell in their column is a quotation or an observation from one of their own pages, with the page and the month we read it printed underneath. Four rows go to them.

Arcads may be your fit if

Four reasons to stay, and we mean them.

  • You need many faces, not one.

A library of a thousand is a library. Ours is small on purpose, because the product is built around one real person. If the job is twelve different people saying the same line, that is their product and not ours.

  • You are testing at volume.

Batch creation and a developer route are real work we have not done. If your week is thirty variants and a spreadsheet, rendering them one at a time here will hurt.

  • You publish in more than ten languages.

This is the single biggest gap and no amount of workflow makes up for it. Speech and dubbing here cover ten languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Chinese.

  • Nobody at your company wants to be on camera.

A Digital Twin needs a real person to sit for it. If the answer is no, an Avatar is the honest option on either side, and they have far more of them.

Kyndrify may be your fit if

Four reasons to move, and the table above is where we argued them.

  • The brand is a person, and that person is you.

A rented face is the wrong face for a founder-led brand. One photo and one short consent recording later, every ad is your face and your voice reading whatever you wrote.

  • Somebody has to be able to answer who that is.

With a Digital Twin the answer is a name plus a consent record that says the person agreed and can withdraw. When consent expires or is withdrawn, that character stops being able to render, which is the point of recording it.

  • The same balance has to cover more than ads.

Voice on its own is 3 credits a second, an export is 20 credits a second, and product images and transcripts come out of the same pool. A month spent mostly on voiceover stretches a long way further than a month spent face to camera.

  • You would rather read the price than book a call.

Our whole ladder is on the pricing page, printed from the same file the app bills from, so the page and your invoice cannot disagree.

One of us publishes a price

We can show you ours. We cannot show you theirs, because we could not find one.

Kyndrify, printed from the rate book

Plus is $49 a month billed yearly and gives you 28,000 credits. Pro is $99 for 56,000 credits. Max is $199 for 123,000 credits. Paying month to month costs more: Plus is $59 that way.

A presenter take is charged at 152 credits per second of finished video, so 28,000 credits is about 3.1 minutes of someone talking. Cutting several takes together and exporting costs 20 credits a second on top, with a floor of 60 credits, and a product cutaway is charged at the Freeform rate and needs a paid plan. Voice on its own is 3 credits a second.

Arcads, as published

When we checked, their pricing path returned a not-found error and no plan figure appeared on the public pages we read. We are not going to guess, and we are not going to repeat a figure from somebody’s review post. If they publish one, this section changes the same week.

arcads.ai/pricing, which answered a not-found error. Checked September 2026.

Two honest notes about our money. Subscription credits expire at the end of each period, so buy the plan you will use rather than the plan you might.

And we do not give refunds. Purchases are final, which is exactly why the free 8,400 credits never expire: spend them, watch your own face read your own script, and decide after that. The full policy is on the refund page.

How we compared

What we read, and what we refused to print

We read their own public pages, quoted them, and wrote the date beside every quote. We did not test their product against ours, so nothing here is a speed, quality or performance claim.

We also did not take any number from a review blog. There are several floating around with prices in them, and we only print a competitor figure when we can read it on that company’s own page. Pages move, so check theirs before you decide.

The same five questions we ask about every tool, including this one, are on the alternatives page. The sibling reads are Kyndrify beside HeyGen and Kyndrify beside Synthesia. We re-read every row every 90 days and change the date only when we have actually re-read it.

If you switch

Moving over, step by step

Three things, and the honest part about the sixth variation is in step three.

  1. 1

Take the photo and record the consent clip.

One front-facing photo and a short recording of the person who will be on screen. The recording is what the face in the photo is compared against, and it is also the consent record. Without a current one, the render door says no. None of that is a formality.

  2. 2

Save your voice, or borrow one.

A short clean recording becomes your own voice clone on every plan, Free included. If you would rather not use your own, the Featured voice library is there and costs nothing extra.

  3. 3

Render the opening you already know works.

Take the best-performing script you have, paste it, and render it in your own face. Free covers up to 60 seconds in a single Render and about 55 seconds in total, which is enough to see the thing before you pay for it. Then render the second opening. The honest bit: each version is its own Render and its own credits. There is no button that makes twelve.

What does not move: an AI actor you picked over there belongs over there. There is nothing to export and no import here, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What does come across is everything that was ever really yours: the scripts, the product photos, and what you learned about which first line works.

The distinction the whole page rests on

Three kinds of face, and only one is a person

Most of the confusion between these two products is one word doing two jobs. Here are the three things, plainly. Checked September 2026.

  • An AI actor is a made-up person.

Nobody sat for it. There is no human whose face that is, so there is nobody to ask and nothing to sign. Arcads calls these AI Actors and offers a library of them.

  • We call the same thing an Avatar, and we sell those too.

Our library is much smaller, and the table above says so. If the face on screen is meant to be a friendly stranger rather than anyone in particular, an Avatar is the honest tool, and you can browse ours.

  • A Digital Twin is a real person who agreed.

You take one photo, record a short consent clip, and the face in the photo is compared with the face in the clip before anything can render. Consent can expire and can be withdrawn, and when it does that character stops being able to render at all, which is the point of recording it in the first place. What is collected, where it is kept and how it is deleted is written out in the biometric information privacy notice.

Which one you need is a business question, not a technical one. If the ad says “I built this”, the face had better belong to whoever built it. If you want to hear the voice half first, every Featured voice plays a sample in the voice library, and your own voice is a short recording away.

Before you write the script

The rules you are working under

Running an ad with a synthetic or AI-assisted face is regulated in most places, and the duty sits with the advertiser, which is you. Two things are worth knowing before you write the script.

Disclosure. In the EU, the AI Act's Article 50 puts a disclosure duty on the party deploying the content. Elsewhere, advertising standards and endorsement rules generally require that a testimonial reflect a real experience of a real person. A Digital Twin of yourself saying something you actually believe is a very different object from a made-up person saying it, and the paperwork that follows is different too.

What we do and what we do not. We record the consent, we compare the face against it, and built-in labelling is still rolling out across output types, so write the disclosure line yourself rather than assuming the file carries it. We do not certify that your ad complies with anything, we hold no security or compliance certification, and we will not imply one. Your team follows the advertising rules for your field and your market. If money, health or legal outcomes are in the script, have someone qualified read it first.

Questions

Questions, by who is asking

I am the founder and the brand is my name. Is this the right one?
Probably, yes. That is the case this product is built for. You sit for the photo and the consent clip once, and from then on every ad is your face and your voice saying whatever you write. The catch is that it is genuinely your face, so treat the scripts the way you would treat anything you say out loud with your name attached.
I buy media and test ten openings a week. Can I work that way here?
Partly. You can write ten openings and render ten videos, and they will all be the same person with the same voice, which is what makes a test readable. What you cannot do is fire them all off at once: there is no batch door and no published developer route, so it is ten Renders, one at a time, out of one credit balance. If that is the bottleneck that decides it, the table says so and we are not going to argue.
A client asked who the person in the ad is. What do I tell them?
That is the whole reason this page exists. With a Digital Twin the answer is a name, plus a consent record that says that person agreed and can withdraw. Consent can expire and can be withdrawn, and the character stops rendering when it does. What gets collected, where it is kept and how it is deleted is written out in our biometric information privacy notice, linked above. With a synthetic actor on either platform the honest answer is nobody, which is fine as long as the ad does not imply otherwise.
Can I bring my Arcads actor across?
No. That actor lives in their product. You build a Digital Twin here from your own photo and your own recording, which takes a few minutes, and the consent record is created as part of it. Your scripts and product photos copy across fine.
Which one is actually cheaper?
We cannot answer that honestly. Our plans and per-second rates are on the pricing page, printed from the same file the app bills from: Plus is $49 a month billed yearly for 28,000 credits, and a presenter take is 152 credits a second. Theirs were not on a public page when we checked in September 2026, and we do not quote prices from review blogs. Price your real month against ours, and against whatever they quote you once you are signed in.
I run ads in twenty markets. Will this work?
Not for twenty. Spoken video and dubbing cover ten languages today: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Chinese. If your list is longer, that is the row that should decide it for you, and no other row on this page outweighs it.

Put your own face in the ad

Spend the free 8,400 credits, watch yourself read your own script, and decide after that. No card, and those credits do not expire.
