What We Learned Explaining a 'Twin' on One Page

We built Kyndrify to make AI video simple, but explaining what we do, creating a "twin" that lets you be on camera without the camera, was harder than we expected. At first, our website was cluttered with technical jargon and too many features. We thought people would get it if we just told them everything. They didn鈥檛.

The Problem With Over-Explaining

We assumed that more information equals better understanding. Wrong. When you pile on details about neural networks, voice cloning, or synthetic avatars, most people tune out. A Stanford web-credibility study found that 46.1 percent of participants' credibility comments referred to visual design. If a page looks like a textbook, clarity and trust can disappear together.

The One-Page Challenge

We gave ourselves a rule: Explain Kyndrify on one page. No scrolling walls of text. No jargon. Just what matters, why it exists, how it works, and who it鈥檚 for. It took months to strip everything down. We kept asking: Does this help someone decide if they trust us? If the answer wasn鈥檛 a clear yes, it got cut.

Why Clarity Builds Trust

People don鈥檛 just want features; they want solutions. When we stopped talking about AI and started talking about problems, like how hard it is to show up on camera every day, the page finally clicked. Trust isn鈥檛 built by impressing people with tech specs. It鈥檚 built by showing you understand their struggle.

The Hardest Part: Letting Go

We had to kill our darlings. That cool demo video? Gone. The deep-dive blog post about synthetic media ethics? Simplified into three sentences. Every time we cut something, it felt like we were losing control. But the opposite happened, our message became stronger.

What We鈥檇 Do Differently

If we could go back, we鈥檇 start with one page from day one. Not as a design exercise, but as a test of our own clarity. If you can鈥檛 explain your product simply, you don鈥檛 understand it well enough to sell it.

This is our perspective, not professional advice. But if you鈥檙e building something new, try the one-page rule, and see what falls away.
